Cancelled - due to artist and staff being unavailable we are going to have to cancel this event. We hope to do it properly in June. Stay with us.
P2P is a new Sunday social event series, from .ddr, focused on the mutual learning, musical sharing and the communal-sonic-creativity in our station’s milieu.
Sound artists and musicians from throughout our community are invited to come and share works in progress in a laid-back environment. We hope that a regular forum to share work and learn collectively in public will bolster the station’s role as a centre of artistry.
The name P2P is a reference to peer-to-peer file sharing services such as Limewire & Soulseek and the forms of digital gift economy and musical community that they have sustained.
The first edition of P2P will take place in The Complex Bar on Sunday, May 21st, 7-10pm.
The format of the event will be simple: 2 featured artists will be invited to present WIPS, followed by an ‘Open Aux’ section of the evening where anyone attending is invited to plug in and share.
